Rick James - Dead at 56
Rick James, the famous funk rocker, passed away August 6, 2004, of what appeared to be natural causes. Rick James struggled with a cocaine addiction in his younger years, as well as numerous run-ins with the law. James saw a recent surge in his popularity due to several recent skits involving him on Dave Chappelle's "Chappelle's Show." James was scheduled to return to season three of Chappelle's Show.
