u should of known that first hand, hard drives go out and even with great care they will die one day..=*( but the more care = the longest time...

the same thing happened to my ipod. i installed a Linux Unreal server on it. After running constantly for about a month, the hard drive made its last spin.

seriously, this is a smart idea for people who think they might use their ipod's hard drive more for files than music.

its already too late for me.. my ipod wont work anymore... i used my ipod as an external hd.. saving programs and softwares... not it wont work right.. and it wont receive any music.. -.- this is sad.. it lasted exactly 1 year.. i messed my ipod so bad.. =/
