iPod DO NOT DISCONNECT Won't Go Away

this happens to my ipod all the time. i think it's screwed up. what should i do?

My iPod was fozen on Do Not Disconnect mode.
Thanks to you guys, I learned how to reboot the iPod and (hopefully) everthing's fine.

I'm never buying an iPod again.
My 30GB iPod has caused me a lot of distress, and is now stuck on 'do not disconnect' even after properly ejecting it. The iPod icon does not appear anywhere on iTunes or the desk top or My computer but the 'do not disconnect sign' still won't go away, with the 'sun flower' sign on the top left corner. No whirring sound from the iPod either!

This morning my wife hands me her IPod and says the "do not disconnect" won't go away. Well ... If I can't fix it, it isn't broken. Thanks to methodshop the motto's record remains.
