Tearful Britney Fan Is a YouTube Hit
A tearful Britney Spears fan named Chris Crocker posted a passionate video called Leave Britney Alone! on YouTube after the pop star's disastrous MTV Awards performance. Crocker's video has become an instant YouTube hit and has gotten about 4 million views. In it, Crocker defends Britney's widely-criticized performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, in which the troubled pop star appeared out of time and out of shape while miming the words to her new song "Gimme More." It reminded me of Ashlee Simpson's SNL un-synced disaster.
Crocker berates the media for their treatment of Britney since the awards show and says fans should be thankful she decided to perform. Here's a transcript of his rant:
"How f**king dare anyone out there make fun of Britney after all she's been through. She went through a divorce, she had two kids ... and now she's going through a custody battle. All you people care about is readers and making money off of her.Crocker, who has posted other YouTube videos about Britney Spears, said on the Howard Stern Sirius satellite radio show yesterday that he was "not acting" and was "really crying."
She's a human. She hasn't performed on stage in years. Her song is called Gimme More for a reason - because all you people want is more, more, more, more, more ... leave her alone. You're lucky she even performed for you bastards. Leave Britney alone ... please."

yeah I know your a big fan and tops to you, but crying and screaming at a camera saying leave her alone to millions of people in different countriesis not going to help at all seriously
People are mad because we were expecting an amazing performance and she KNEW that. But she didnt even try...
I sorta kinda think MTV set her up just a little bit...

I honestly thought it was a chick until I just read here that it's actually a dude. Makes it even more sad I think ...
Well, it's a bit funny and a bit sad too. Just goes to show how deluded people with a bit of money and/or people from the rich/consumer culture countries are. It's understood that people need entertainment (and therefore entertainers). But while there are people dying unnecessarily all over the world/facing real life problems, how wrapt up we are in ourselves to get so upset with something like this. Sorry to be a party pooper, but as I am writing this and as you are reading this, half the world population (that is 3 billion+ people) is living on less than $1/day. Yet we cry over Britney Spears, eat at McDonalds/Subway and await the next Superman/Batman movie. lol.
