Geez, if there is an option to turn off 3g that means the phones power has been designed really badly. What about most 3g networks that are only 3g. crap.
yay! i've been waiting for the new iPhone for awhile.. i bet the improvements will be worth the wait!
3g on the iphone would be awesome, but I am definitely worried about that battery life comment.

I remember that i read somewhere the type of chip they used in the new iPhone. It appears to be designed especially for low consumption.
