Happy Friday everyone! Speaking of Friday, remember that perky teen named Rebecca Black who posted a video of herself singing a song called “Friday” on YouTube this summer? You should. It became a huge viral hit and currently has 11M views on YouTube. It even spawned countless YouTube parodies and cover songs including an orchestra arrangement by composer Walt Ribeiro.
At the time, everyone thought “Friday” was an original song. But apparently the real source of Rebecca Black‘s lyrics for “Friday” was Bob Dylan. A recently discovered recording buried in Bob Dylan’s basement reveals the truth.
You can buy this version of “Friday” by someone singing in a Bob Dylan voice, here in the iTunes Store.
