Yuck! According to this infographic by Keeping It Kleen, 16% of all smartphones have poop on them. Although shocking, it might not be all that surprising… especially if you frequently hear coworkers playing Angry Birds Space inside a bathroom stall at work.
Poor Flickr. They really dropped the ball here. Flickr was the first major photo-based social network. And now to see Instagram and Pinterest so popular right now… it almost brings a tear to our eye. Although Instagram definitely has a very loyal user base, pinners on Pinterest are almost like crackheads or junkies.
Flowtown and Column Five created this infographic that helps explain why people are so addicted to Pinterest. Look out Facebook! According to the infographic, Pinterest users spend an average of 98 minutes on the site per month, third only to Tumblr (2.5 hours) and Facebook (7 hours). What about you? Are you addicted to Pinterest? We wonder how long it will be until there’s an AA meeting for Pinterest addicts.
Just before the new iPad was announced this month, AYTM released this inforgraphic called “iPad 3: Who Will Buy One, and Why?” Although they got the name of the new iPad wrong (it’s just iPad, not iPad 3), AYTM had some great insights on who would upgrade or buy their first iPad and why. And they were right! The new iPad’s better battery, A5X chip, 4G, HD camera and Retina display were all huge hits with consumers. According to this press release, Apple sold over 3M iPads in just the first 4 days it went on sale. It’s rumored that Apple makes a 50% profit on each product they sell. Wow! You do the math.
So what are consumers doing on their iPads? AYTM‘s infographic says Games, Entertainment and Social Networking are the top 3 activities of iPad owners. Books comes in 6th place and Newstand unfortunately is dead last. Personally, I think it’s almost hysterical how when the first generation iPad was announced, it was touted as the savior of the publishing industry. Magazine, newspaper and book publishers all jumped at the chance of having their content on the iPad. Oh well, reading is overrated anyway. What about you? Are you more likely to play Angry Birds Space on your iPad or read a book? Please tweet @methodshop and let us know.
Well it’s official. The new iPad isn’t called iPad HD or iPad 3, it’s just called the… iPad. But as you can see in this inforgraphic from Mashable and Tableau Software, everyone was convinced it would be called the iPad 3.
Over 11,000 people were tweeting using the term “iPad 3.”
Apple Fanboys excited about the Apple TV were left in the dust with only 2,1000 tweets.
The most difficult conversation an employer and employee can have is about a salary raise. Nationally, employees will receive an average 3% wage increase this year. With this in mind, employers must carefully decide who gets a raise and when, while employees must perfect the art of salary negotiation.
To say Pinterest has gotten a lot of buzz lately would be an understatement. The photo-based social network has exploded the last few months. The network’s ability to easily organize and share images has been a huge hit among both individuals and businesses.
If you’re still wondering what the network is all about and why it’s so popular, then you like this infographic.
By now you’ve probably heard all the rumors about the iPad 3 coming out in a couple of weeks. According to top sources like John Paczkowski at All Things D, Apple picked “the first week in March to debut the successor to the iPad 2.”
So what should we expect as far as features in either of these rumored devices? If we had to guess, they both will probably have a much faster chip, an improved graphics processing unit, and an improved Retina Display. But beyond that? Who knows.
Whatever Apple announces in March, iPad big and or small, it will most likely take place at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, their preferred location for big announcements.
Rumors of an iPad mini have been revived once again today after a Technology Business Research analyst said Apple will launch two new products at its upcoming iPad event. And when we say “new,” we don’t mean a next-generation refresh – we mean something brand new.
