Do you know why you were chosen to be a MethodShop Superfan?
I assume, (and that usually gets me in trouble), that we have common connections to manufacturers that we promote. But I choose to believe that Jon Accarrino simply admires my points of view about revealing the ‘Truths of Remodeling.’
Explain what you do for a living?
I have been a Remodeling Designer and Licensed Contractor for over 20 years. Seen it and done it all. So now I have decided to write about what REALLY goes on behind the scenes, the Good, Bad, and Ugly…and especially all the misinformation. The website www.yoursquarefeet.com is designed for today’s remodeling economy. We also provide custom On-line Design and On-line Construction Services.

I’m a behavioral therapist who specializes in the area of sex and relationships. I don’t try to dig deep down to find out what is wrong with people but instead give them practical advice to help them solve their problems.
What is the question you are asked the most?
There are so many but perhaps the most common has to do with penis size.
What is your favorite part of your job?
When a client reports that my advice has worked!
How do you use technology and social media to tell people about you and your work?
Tell us about your new book, Sexually Speaking: What Every Woman Needs to Know About Sexual Health?
I wrote it with a noted obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Amos Gruenbaum. Together we give women the advice they need on how to stay healthy, including their sexual health, which is a topic that is often ignored by doctors.
What projects are you currently working on?
There is a Dr. Ruth wine coming out called Vin D’Amour. It’s a low alcohol product so that people don’t fall asleep after drinking it and can still have sex! There is a one woman play being written about my life that will be playing at the Barrington Stage starring Debra Jo Rupp from That 70s Show. And in the fall I’ll be teaching at Columbia’s Teacher’s College.
What is the number one piece of advice you can give to couples about relationships?
Communicate. Humans aren’t mind readers so if you don’t tell your partner your needs, there is no way for your partner to guess.

Our former MethodShop Superfan, 46 year old topless photojournalist Holly Van Voast is in trouble again! One of New York City’s most recognizable locals was hauled back in court again last month after bearing her breasts in – heaven help us – St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Since 1992 women in New York State have legally been allowed to go topless in public, so of course the case was dismissed. Despite all the hassle being naked causes her, the activist exited the court and without skipping a beat took off her shirt once again. Wonder what shockers Holly has in store for us next time!

MethodShop is very versatile, articulate, and awesome and my life exemplifies all 3 since I am a pioneer in food, fashion and entertainment uniting!
3. What is your favorite MethodShop article and why?
Sad Keanu Reeves is one of my favs because it’s a great use of photoshop art and humor and he’s an actor I enjoy.
4. Explain what you do for a living?
I am a chef, entertainer, teacher and speaker.
5. What is your favorite/least favorite part of your job?
In my business I love it all; even when chaos ensues because only the strong survive!
6. What are some of your favorite culinary tech gadgets and why?
I love using my dehydrator to make beef jerky and my ice cream maker for ice cream!
7. What is your #1 tip for amateur cooks?
Be patient, practice makes perfect and reach for the stars because dreams become realities.
8. Tell us something about yourself that your friends reading this right now won’t already know.
I love skiing, boating, being adventurous and romantic. The most romantic thing I’ve ever done – taken a spontaneous trip to Aruba with an ex girlfriend!
9. Upcoming projects?
Instructing a Valentine’s Day cooking class, doing a demo in Miami during the Food and Wine Festival, catering several parties during New York Spring Fashion Week, participating as a featured chef at American Ballet Theater’sCulinary Pas De Deux in March, and on two [television] shows both premiering around the end of March or April, one is a food-related show, and the other is on Vh1 airing April. Chopped All Stars [airs in] February, [there is] a clothing line and more…

I’m a geek at heart so any article that involves gadgets.

You never know what you’ll read each day. It’s the only place I check out now when I’m looking for variety — and a good laugh.
What do you do for a living?
I founded a company called The Professional Wingman, that helps people develop their social skills so they can have better dating lives.
Who inspires you and why?
Gary Vaynerchuk is originally the one whose passion sparked me to eventually discover my business. Tony Robbins has always been an inspiration to whatever I want to accomplish in my life. And my parents are my biggest inspirations. I saw them work so hard, just to give me a chance to do something great in this world. I can never be more appreciative.
What are some of your favorite tech gadgets?
I’m an Apple fanboy and a sucker for a great video game.
