There
are inarguably, thousands of Palm
devices out there that are sitting in trash dumps all over
the world!! And what's worse, they all work fine! The user
may have trashed their beloved Palm because it suffered from
a minor case of "needing to be reset." Here's how you can get
your baby up and running again. It's quick and often times,
effective...
Resetting your palm involves either unscrewing your stylus
pen to reveal the built in pointer nub, or simply retreiving a paper clip
from your desk drawer will do the trick. With either one, insert the point
into the RESET hole on the back of your PALM, which will begin to reset your
device. HOWEVER, follow the chart below to see what steps you will need to
perform to optimize your Palm's reset capabilities.
When
my Palm (see picture right) lost its Calendar button, I was faced with a "Fatal
Error" upon every power up...The "Hard Reset" ended up working for me after
the other two couldn't do the job.
