Google Pac-Man
Created: 05/25/2010 | Updated: 02/13/2011 | By: Staff

Instructions: lr lr Move

If you've ever played the classic game Pac-Man in an arcade before, then get ready to feel old. Pac-Man celebrated it's 30th Anniversary in 2010. In honor of the milestone, Google temporary changed the logo on their search page to a playable version of the game. The game only stayed on Google's site for a few days but we were able to tinker around with the code and archive it here for you to play.

The object of Pac-Man is to move around the small yellow blob (aka Pac-Man) and chomp up the white dots. Oh, and watch out for a few ghosts named Blinky, Pinky, Inkey, and Clyde.

Have fun!

NERD NOTE: Ever notice that Pac-man looks like a disc or a puck? Puck Man was actually the original name of the classic arcade game that we know as Pac-man. In fact, Puck Man machines can still be found throughout Europe and Japan. For the North American market, the name was changed from Puck Man to Pac-Man, as it was thought that vandals would be likely to change the P in Puck to an F, forming a common expletive.
