T-Fal Sandwich Maker [review]

Back in college, my parents got me a sandwich maker for my dorm room. I didn't realize it at the time, but it was the perfect gift. My roommate and I used to steal ingredients from the dining hall and keep them in our mini fridge. The hours the dining halls were open didn't always mesh well with the typical college social schedule... and we were poor students and the dining hall food was free. So at any given hour we might be making anything from BBQ chicken and Swiss melts to peanut butter and M&Ms sandwiches (a late night favorite). After freshman year I threw my sandwich maker away because it was so scratched up and dirty. It made great sandwiches but it was impossible to clean. I remember using a plastic knife and trying to scrape it clean in the common bathroom's sink. Yuck.
Ten years later, college is a fading memory, no one owns a beeper anymore, Sean Kelly's band The Samples have broken up and sandwich making science has reached new technical heights. The engineering geniuses at T-Fal made a sandwich/waffle maker with dishwasher safe interchangeable grilling plates that snap in and out.

Harry Potter's Vibrating Broomstick [review]

Looks like the perverts from Mattel have been busy. Their latest creation is a vibrating Harry Potter broomstick that has teenage girls everywhere going wild.
Amazon was selling the vibrating Harry Potter Nimbus 2000 broomstick for only $19.99, but the sex shops in New York City sell it for double. After sending Amazon.com an email asking for a comment, they temporarily stopped selling the item. If you go to Amazon's page for the Nimbus now, you will see that not only did they delete all of the controversial reviews, but they no longer sell the product. Too bad, it would make a great Halloween costume. You still might be able to find the Nimbus on eBay or through a third party seller, but regardless where you buy this thing, make sure you pick up some extra batteries and keep your teenage daughters away from it. Who knew Harry was such a stud?

Sony A300 DSLR Camera [review]
You might think that in the current economic climate, spending money on a high-end digital camera would be a luxury that most people couldn't justify. After all, millions are being lost on Wall Street and in the city every day. High street sales are down, jobs are being lost and nobody is spending money on anything. How on earth could you think about trading up that little point and shoot camera for something serious?
Well, here's the good news. Sony has come to the rescue of your wallet with this, the Sony Alpha A300 - which is available online for a mere £330 including an 18-70mm lens. Lighter and Faster - OS X Snow Leopard

Apple’s new operating system, Snow Leopard, hit stores last Friday. To encourage upgrading, Apple has slapped a super low $30 price tag on the upgrade.
But hold on Apple Fanboys. Snow Leopard isn't a major OS upgrade. Snow Leopard is mainly just a performance boost for Macs equipped with 64-bit Intel processors. So what should you expect to find in Snow Leopard? Here are the 5 most important things you need to know about Mac OS X 10.6:
- Performance Boost
- Lighter - Less OS Bloat
- Third-Party Software Compatibility Issues
- Minor Interface Improvements
- No PowerPC Support
Performance Boost
Snow Leopard was coded to take full advantage of the hardware in 64-bit Intel Macs. So all applications coded for 64-bit processors will be much faster.
Lighter
As operating systems add new features, they get bigger and bigger and take up more of your hard drive. But Snow Leopard is unlike most bloated OS upgrades. Snow Leopard will actually free up some space on year hard drive. We're read reports of users seeing anywhere from 2-7GBs of extra space after installing Snow Leopard.
Third-Party Software Compatibility Issues
One of the biggest drawbacks to Snow Leopard is the incompatibility of some third-party applications. If your livelihood depends on a third-party application, for example a cash register app, then you will want to wait to upgrade until the developer gives Snow Leopard the green light. Snow Leopard is still compatible with 32-bit applications, but Apple admits that some third party software will have issues.
Minor Interface Improvements
Apple made a few minor user interface and software improvements to SNow Leopard. For example, Expose was moved into the Dock, time stamps added to screenshots and QuickTime Player now has the playback controls from iTunes' full screen mode.
No PowerPC Mac Support
Still rocking an older Mac these days? If you own an older PowerPC Mac and have yet to upgrade sine Apple's switched to Intel, then Snow Leopard is not for you. Snow Leopard will only run on an Intel Mac equipped with at least 1GB of memory. You also need 5GB of free hard drive space and a DVD drive.
Final Thoughts
Snow Leopard isn't enough of an OS upgrade to knock your socks off, but the speed improvements alone are well worth the $30 price tag.

Skunk Off [review]

Unfortunately for us dog owners, our canine companions will probably get sprayed by a skunk at one point in their lives. Rural pets are much more likely to have a skunk encounter, but even city dogs who join you on weekend getaways or camping vacations might find themselves downwind from a skunk's anal scent glands. And dogs aren't alone in this stinky honor. Cats, pigs, horses and other domesticated pets have all been skunked before. So what do you do after a pet gets sprayed by a skunk? Does tomato juice really work? Can over the counter products like Skunk Off save the day? Apparently I was about to find out.

JVC HA-NC250 Noise Canceling Headphones

After a recent 4-hour flight with 3 different types of earbuds jammed in, wrapped around and loosely falling out every time I shifted in my seat, it was time to invest in a good pair of nose canceling headphones.I dropped $125 on a traditional pair of headphones 2 years ago and it was a big mistake. Lacking the portability and performance I wanted the head band finally broke a few weeks ago while I was struggling to get them wrapped up going through airport security. If you travel quite a bit, commute on the subway or train, and want the best sound quality to complement your iPod or iPhone it makes sense to spend a little extra and get a more complete package.
After researching several different brands and models I chose the JVC HA-NC250 for their style, performance, comfort, portability and value. According to CNET, "[they] make a great travel companion for those who demand quality sound. And they may not be cheap, but they seem that way next to the Bose QuietComfort 3."

Courtney is the "writer" of this particular opus, but after reading the first page of "Moon People", you may be wondering - Was Peter Griffin from Family Guy Courtney's editor? The ridiculous plot aside, the book is filled with rAndOm caPitalizatioNs, odd sentence structure and an abusive use of a'post'ro'phe's."Moon People" won't be getting a Pulitzer, but the book's "unique" writing style has certainly captured the attention of the Internets. Of course, everyone's favorite gameplay elements like hunting and random outbreaks of disease are still included.
iTunes Download: Oregon Trail for iPhone & iPod Touch
For you youngsters out there who don't know about the original Oregon Trail game, it was an educational computer game about American pioneer life that has a long history in North American school districts and homes. The game was inspired by the real-life Oregon Trail and was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the trail. The player takes the role of a party of people, of a selected profession, traveling across the Oregon Trail in a Conestoga wagon.

The original Oregon Trail game was developed by John Hoffmann, Anthony Stone and Pablo Jara Meza in 1971 and produced by MECC in 1974. The game was inspired by the real-life Oregon Trail and was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the trail.
Oregon Trail was very popular among American elementary school students in the mid 1980s to early 1990s. Many students in the United States had access to the game at school in computer labs full of Apple II computers. 20-30 years later the game has become culturally iconic and there remains an aspect of nostalgia for those who grew up playing the game. The game is also ridiculed for featuring incessant dysentery and dysentery-caused deaths.

Start a Fire with the TORCH Flashlight from Wicked Lasers
What happens when a company that usually makes powerful lasers for the Chinese military decides to make a flashlight? They make a flashlight with a beam so strong that it can start a fire.Wicked Lasers is known for making high-end lasers that can burn, cut, and project a laser beam hundreds of miles away. So when we found out that they were making a "flashlight," we were understandably both confused and curious.
Wicked Lasers named their new flashlight the TORCH... and for good reason. The "TORCH" is technically a flashlight. It looks like a flashlight. Operates like a flashlight. But this is no ordinary flashlight. The TORCH is so bright that its beam can ignite flammable objects as fast as an open flame.
Here's a video clip of the TORCH lighting some matches. As you will hear in the video, my assistants Libby and Lauren start laughing and blow snot all over the place. Honestly, who can blame them. This "flashlight" is ridiculous.

SD Duplicator Knocks Down 20 Cards At a Time

Nexcopy announced their new 20 target SD Duplicator earlier today. Definitely a device for the ubergeek who's into data loading Secure Digital media. At first glance you ask yourself "Who'd want 20 copies of their SD card from their camera?" But it's clear Nexcopy isn't chasing down the guys looking to make a 100 copies of their weekend Vegas photos [or are they?]. The SD duplicator is geared towards companies who send out software applications on SD cards for field devices, or need to manage a large number of miniSD cards for an army of Palm Pilots.
The SD200PC also works with microSD cards so the phone companies will have a field day loading up their phones with promo material for lucky customers. Which makes sense, because these Smartphones and PDAs are getting so powerful and the media has so much capacity, many people keep most of their data on microSD cards these days.
The unit connects via USB and has 20 numbered SD ports so it's easy to identify which SD card is which. The unit comes with software that supports FAT and FAT32 formats and includes NTFS support with their bit-for-bit copy function which also supports Linux distribution packages for those embedded applications. All SD formats are supported and for the not-so-techy user, the Nexcopy software has a job wizard to guide you through the dupe process.
I bet these sell for hotcakes right before CES 2009.

Bob Dylan's 5 Best Albums
I was at my local bar the other night and someone asked me if I were ever to be stranded on a desert island and could only bring 5 Bob Dylan albums with me on my iPhone, which ones would I bring?I couldn't answer him right away, and not because I had already had a good buzz after drinking four bottles of Miller Lite (note: I'm a lightweight), I had to think about that for a while because I really love Bob Dylan. Wait, let me rephrase that, I REALLY LOVE BOB DYLAN! For anyone even remotely aware of American pop culture over the past 40 years, it would be tough to miss the direct impact and lasting influence of Dylan's songs. I needed time to get back in touch with ALL things B-O-B!
So after spending a WHOLE week revisiting all my Dylan albums in iTunes, I compiled these 5 as the very ones I'd like to have with me if I were stranded on a desert island. And with this list I hope I can introduce the genius of Dylan to people walking around now who've never heard of the guy, or have no awareness of him beyond simple name recognition.

There are plenty more Bond gadgets. These were just some of my favorites. Thanks to a remastered DVD collection of the James Bond movie series fans can relive all their favorite gadget scenes over and over again.

Here's a list of some of our favorite James Bond gadgets and how realistic/functional they'd be in the real world.
- Robot Dog (A View To A Kill, 1985)
Remember in the 1980's when robots were cool? Every movie or TV show from Short Circuit to Small Wonder had a robot in it and Bond was no different. In A View to a Kill, Q has a small dog sized surveillance robot that he operates by remote control. You might remember how Q used the robot to spy on Bond girl, Stacy Sutton, when she was coming out of the shower. Could it work? Yes. After 9/11, hundreds of robots were used to scourer the wreckage of the World Trade Center's collapsed twin towers and help diffuse road side bombs in Iraq. - X-Ray Glasses (The World Is Not Enough, 1999)
These blue sunglasses from Q's lab are both stylish and functional with X-ray ability that allow Bond to wander though a casino viewing concealed weapons and inspecting ladies' lingerie. But could it work? No. These glasses stretch the barriers of X-ray technology a little too far. X-rays are most widely used in medicine to visualize bones and organs and requires the subject to stand stationary for a few seconds in order to work properly. - Jetpack (Thunderball, 1965)
One of the most spectacular gizmos, the jetpack, only appears for a moment. Bond straps it on and escapes over a high wall to his waiting Aston Martin DB5. The jetpack is real and was originally developed for the US Army by Bell Textron Laboratories. High pressure nitrogen gas is released through the nozzles to give a powerful burst of rocket propulsion. The military jetpack prototype could carry a person over a 30-foot-high wall at a speed of 7-10mph. Having just 30 seconds flight time, however, the jetpack was scrapped by the army. These days, it's reserved for novelty value and was used in the 1984 Olympic Games opening ceremony in Los Angeles.
There are plenty more Bond gadgets. These were just some of my favorites. Thanks to a remastered DVD collection of the James Bond movie series fans can relive all their favorite gadget scenes over and over again.

Sony Style USB Turntable
I'm not exactly sure why Sony is getting into the USB Turntable business but they've taken a stab at getting our interest. The PS-LX300USB looks similar to another product we've talked about before (ION's version) but I see some notable differences.

The Sony version has a belt drive motor for reduced noise along with providing some added rotational stability. The unit also carries a diamond stylus for precise tracking and low record wear.
The turntable has playback speeds for either 33 1/3 or 45 rpm, so anything you've got stashed away should play on the LX300USB. Sony bundles the Sound Forge Audio Studio software to aid in the vinyl to MP3 conversion.
The unit will become available sometime in April for about $150, but if you're chomping-at-the-bit for some vinyl to MP3, the ION Audio version is available now for about the same price.

US Presidential Canidates Website Shootout
For the 2008 election, online campaigning is already playing an important role. While it used to be a resource utilized by niche organizations that hardy drew in the masses, now every candidate running for President is trying to show just how connected they are through blogs, viral videos, and social networking sites. Problem is though, while the top candidates have great stuff going, there’s quite a bit that could use some tweaking. So which Presidential candidate has the best website? Some are interactive and full of information, others are a total mess. Let's take a look:
If you need an immediate update of Hillary Clinton news ASAP her campaign will text message your cell phone. The site itself is also perfect, too perfect if you ask me. How about some dirt Hillary? Or a link to Bill Clinton’s blog? Now THAT would spice it up (www.hillaryclinton.com).
Or how about John Edwards? It takes 20 minutes to just peruse the initial page, and about a month to get through the rest. Content overload John! Between the photo blog, audio blog, news blog, action blog, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and 20 plus RSS feeds, I don’t know where to start. Valiant effort but wayyy too overwhelming (www.johnedwards.com).
On the opposite end of the spectrum is Rudy Giuliani. Rudy has nothing on there. Well he has links to purchase merchandise, but content? Hardly any. While the pictures look cool and the RUDY USA apparel is fun, does it really accomplish much? (www.joinrudy2008.com
By far the best website award goes to Barack Obama. Not only is it informative and easy to navigate, it allows you earn points for online activity. The more time you spend there the closer you get to become the ultimate Obama supporter. The game concept is genius and is the closest any of the runners have gotten to understand the demographic of social networkers out there. Will it pay off? Will Obama’s campaign stick with it after the primaries or is it just temporary? I guess we’ll find out soon enough (www.barackobama.com).

Fox News Donks MethodShop's Server
At 3pm EST yesterday, Fox News took a brief break from their wall-wall US Presidential Super Tuesday coverage and mentioned the MethodShop.com review of the Badonkadonk Land Cruiser. In case you aren't already familiar with "The Donk," it's a custom made mini-tank that looks like Jabba's Sail Barge from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.People were obviously intrigued by The Donk and wanted to read more about it. An hour later, the surge in traffic from Fox News killed our server. It was higher than when our Rejected iPod Engravings article made the Digg homepage.
So if you got an error page yesterday... we apologize. We've since redirected the Donk review to our mirror server on MethodShop.net. You can check it out here.
Thanks for your patience.

Leg Lamp Replica from A Christmas Story
This half-scale reproduction of the Leg Lamp from the 1983 movie A Christmas Story isn't completely accurate, but for a mere $40 bucks it's probably close enough for most Christmas Story fans. And honestly, it's smaller scale will be more apt to blend in with the average living room. It certainly does with mine, never failing to draw smiling comments when a new guest first sees it.I wonder how long it would take for HR to give me a call to "talk" if I brought my Leg Lamp to work?
My friend has been saying for years, in jest, how he'd love to have the Leg Lamp to place in the window of his house, for all the neighbors to see. And his wife has sworn that it would never happen... now she is going to kill us for getting him this for Christmas!

If only Amazon.com would mark the outside of the package "Fragile" so you too can become "The Old Man" for a nostalgic moment when the Leg Lamp arrives at your door.

Halo 3 Sickness Feared
The 3rd and final edition in the Halo video game trilogy got released Monday night at midnight. Microsoft expects to sell an estimated 4 million copies of Halo 3 (read MethodShop.com review) in the U.S. during the next 30 days according to Gamesindustry.biz. Think 4 million seems a lot for a video game? Keep in mind that "Halo" (2001) and "Halo 2" (2004) sold 14.5 million copies worldwide.
But because there is so much anticipation and hype around Halo 3, corporate employers and school systems are fearing that their staff and students will spontaneously be calling in sick this week.

Here are a couple quotes I found on USA Today.com:
Corporate sponsors are also helping fuel the hype around Halo 3. Even if the last video game you played was Pong in the 1980's, Microsoft still wants you to know about Halo 3. Everyone from Burger King, NASCAR, Pontiac and even Mountain Dew have promotional deals with Microsoft for Halo 3 that rival such theatrical franchises as Harry Potter. Last night I even saw a 'limited edition' Halo 3 Mountain Dew 12-pack labeled as "Game Fuel." I guess there's probably enough sugar and caffeine in a 12-pack of Mountain Dew to even keep a Polar Bear up all night.

Beyond the corporate sponsors, promotional advertising blitz and the Internet buzz, Halo 3 is special to gamers because it's the final chapter in the Halo series. It's the last time fans will get to see their beloved Master Chief in action. Halo 3 is equivalent of how important "Return of the Jedi" or "The Return of the King" was Star Wars and Lord of the Rings fans. It's the end of a saga.

Here are a couple quotes I found on USA Today.com:
"I've already talked to my teachers and got my assignments for Tuesday. I don't plan on going to class," says Dane Mitchell, 20, a Cincinnati State and Community College sophomore. "I'm going to pick up the game at midnight from GameStop, go to a friend's house, and play it for 36 hours," he says.
Like Mitchell, Neil Godwin, 21, of Milford, Ohio, reserved his copy more than a year ago. He's taking a vacation day Tuesday from his job as a Kroger computer help desk analyst to play Halo 3 all day with his brother.

MF-575 Digital Picture Frame Review
Why give someone a single still framed picture when you can give them an entire slide show? The MF-575 is an inexpensive hi-tech digital photo, MP3, and video player with a bright, high-resolution 5.6-inch color TFT screen.

When I bought my first MF-575 picture frame, I got it as a gift for a family member who liked to complain that I never send them pictures anymore. The problem is, I have a digital camera and haven't gotten any pictures developed in several years. So now, whenever I go over to their house for a visit, I just bring an extra memory card from my digital camera full of new pictures. If you don't have an extra memory card, the MF-575 has an easy-to-use MD/SD/MMC memory card reader that plugs into any computer with a USB port. So you can just plug the entire picture frame into your computer and copy the pictures onto the card that way if necessary.
This year on Christmas morning, I was thinking about taking a series of pictures while everyone is opening their gifts. Then I'll take the memory card out of my digital camera and pop it into the MF-575 picture frame for an instant slide show for everyone to enjoy on Christmas afternoon. Good idea right? The number of images you can put into your MF-575 slide show is only limited by the capacity of the memory card being used.

American Hair Metal Book
There was a time—not so long ago—when pomp and spandex dominated MTV and pop radio playlists. The book American Hair Metal celebrates this orgy of flamboyance, androgyny and animal magnetism, of big-haired alpha males and the beautiful women who surrounded them.

American Hair Metal is 180 pages full of rare photographs of the biggest bands and quotes about the sex, drugs and Rock & Roll style of ‘80s American hair metal.
With all the quotes and photos, this book will find a comfortable home on your coffee table. But don't expect much more than that. American Hair Metal is a 180 page book with 160 pages of photos. It's a ton of fun to flip through, but there's not much to read.

$1 Million Dollar Apple Remote Control For Sale on Amazon
Amazon.com is currently selling a $999,999.00 1/2 ounce plastic SiK rex remote control that works with the Apple MacBook Pro, iPod Universal Dock, Apple TV, Front Row, iPod Hi-Fi and is Front Row compatible.
No joke. A million dollar remote control. You can see the SiK rex Amazon page here.
Sound too expensive for a little piece of plastic? What if i told you that the remote can be stored in the ExpressCard/34 slot of your MacBook Pro...
Yeah, I'm not convinced it's worth it. But if Bill Gates is reading this.... hurry dude, there is only one left in stock!
This is obviously a just a typo. So I took a screenshot of the million dollar SiK rex remote page and posted it here on flickr in case Amazon takes the page down.

If you are still interested in the SiK rex remote control but not the million dollar price tag, you can also purchase one used or from a 3rd party on Amazon.com for only $25.

Gyroflex Pro Review
Spend a lot of time on the computer? Who doesn't these days. After awhile you'll probably develop wrist pains. A quick and easy way to exercise your hands and fingers everyday is to spend a few minutes with the Gyroflex Pro.

The Gyroflex Pro uses gyroscopic inertia (centrifugal force's younger cousin) to increase strength and coordination in your hand, wrist, arm and shoulder. It also aids in the prevention and rehab of certain injuries, helps with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and reduces stress.
To use the Gyroflex Pro, just pull the starter cord and hold on tight. After a few sessions you'll improve your coordination, strengthen your grip, build your forearms, and really exercise your hands and fingers.
Specs & Features:
I know a graphic artist who wears a rollerblading wrist guard because he has Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Honestly, it looks a little dorky. Walking around your office while wearing a rollerblading wrist guard isn't exactly the best way to meet girls. Maybe I'll buy him a Gyroflex Pro and try to save his nightlife from social destitute.
Besides graphic artists, anyone who has to do repetitive hand motions all day like secretaries, computer analysts, porn movie fluffers and athletes, can benefit from this little ball.

iDJ iPod DJ Mixer
The iDJ is a compact mixing console with 2 built-in iPod docks. Mixing directly from your iPods gives you the ability to utilize thousands tracks from your iTunes collection at your next party or event. If you need to pull audio from additional sources, you'll be happy to know that the iDJ has two additional turntables or MP3/CD players inputs. I can see how this would come in handy at an event like a wedding where someone ends up handing the DJ a CD at the last minute.

The iDJ Mixer is both Firewire and USB2.0 compatible, so you can use 3rd Generation iPods (iPod mini, iPod photo) or newer generation models as well.
After reading through the specs, I noticed you can take things a step further and connect via S-Video. Greg from getusb.info thinks this feature "makes the iDJ a good video mixer for schools, churches or corporate applications where you have multiple people presenting and don’t want to fumble around with PC connections and projectors."
The iDJ Mixer also features headphone pre-cuing, separate channel three-band EQ and an industry-standard Kensington security slot. The security slot enables you to lock down the iDJ to a table in case you need to walk away for a few minutes for a cigarette or quick bathroom break.
Technical Details
The iDJ can be purchased either from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk

Garmin GPS Review
Sometimes it's not just about what should you bring, but how in the hell you get there. If you're like me (a guy) you can proabably make it from Point A to Point B in record time. The problem is, Point B is not actually your destination, but somewhere a mile or two from it. Now, I've been wanting a GPS for years but was concerned my wife thought it too expensive of a "toy." So I did the next best thing... I bought her one for Christmas. (Kind of like Homer buying Marge a bowling ball) And the funny thing is, she has this amazing internal compass. She hardly ever needs the GPS, so it usually resides with me.
The Garmin Garmin Nuvi 360 does everything you want and more. The Bluetooth technology links seamlessly with your cell phone for handsfree conversations. Map and audio directions put you exactly where you want to go. It can also find restaurants by genre and distance, as well as lodging and gas stations. Did I mention it's also an MP3 player? One of the coolest features is the optional up to date traffic reports. It automatically processes the information on your route, and takes you around the problem. Now, onto the city guide... not in your car, on foot. Once you've decided on your restaurant, museum, or Broadway Show, it'll take you to the front door.
I've been using it for a little over a month and it works flawlessly. The touchscreen makes inputting destinations a snap. Due to the small size and many functions, I don't ever see myself having to buy my wife another one... till next year.

Nike+iPod Shoes in Action
If you've been wondering exactly how the iPod nano works with Nike's running shoe, check out the Nike+iPod demo video below.
Your iPod nano will actually talk to you while you're running. It lets you know exactly how far you've run and how far you have left. It will even synchronizing the beat of the music to your footsteps.
Once you get back to your computer, just dock the nano and it will give you a detailed readout of your stats during the run. Pretty high-tech stuff for a sneaker! I wonder what happens if it rains while you are running.
Before you can start using your Nike+iPod kit you will need to update iTunes to version 6.0.5 or higher. iTunes 6.0.5 allows you to sync your Nike + iPod workout data to nikeplus.com, where you can easily track your progress and set training goals.
If you need fuel for your workout motivation, there's a new Nike Sport Music area on the iTunes Music Store where you can download workout mixes, Athlete Inspiration playlists and Nike Podcasts.

String Quartet Tribute to Foo Fighters
Looking for something different to feed your iPod with? How about a string quartet tribute to the Foo Fighters? While so many musicians have petered out over the years, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have managed to lay waste to any preconceived notions of what success means in this day and age. Forget about sophomore slumps, critical failures and artistic misfires; they do not apply when it comes to the Foo. MoGo Wireless Bluetooth Mouse
The MoGo Wireless Mouse is a business-card sized, Bluetooth-enabled mouse that stores and recharges neatly inside (yes, inside…) your laptop's PC card slot. To recharge your MoGo Mouse, just slide it into the empty PC card slot in your laptop. It will fully recharge in less than an hour and provide you with enough power for about 8 or 9 hours of use.

As you can imagine, the MoGo Mouse is specifically designed for people who spend a lot of time traveling like writers, reporters and sales reps. Other mice, even those meant for travelers, usually don’t cut it. Mini-mice (aka “walnut shells”) get lost in your hand and are difficult to maneuver, and the idea of carrying a full-sized mouse defeats the entire purpose of mobility on the go.
The MoGo Mouse is a natural fit for road warriors. Storing it inside you PC Card (PCMCIA) slot is pure genius and the fact that it charges there is just the icing on the cake. The only thing I'd like to see in future models is a scroll wheel. I know that the size of it makes it hard to have a wheel but maybe a touch wheel, like one some laptops, could have been possible.

Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Controller
Is a weak arm or physical stamina keeping you from taking your Nintendo Wii gaming experience to the next level? Perhaps you should look into getting the Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Controller. This accessory adds even more innovation to the next generation of gaming and does it all with less physical movement.Contoured to perfectly fit a players hand, the Nunchuck controller builds on the simplicity of the Nintendo Wii Remote controller. The Nunchuck contains the same motion-sensing technology enabled in the Wii Remote but also includes an analog stick to help assist in character movement. This analog stick can be a godsend if you feel like physical motion is keeping you from your optimum gaming performance (see video called Crazy Girl on Wii).
Many games will allow you to control your character's movement with the Nunchuck in your left hand, while your right hand is free to execute the action movements with the Wii Remote. For example, the Nunchuck comes in extremely handy for games like Wii Boxing. You can use the Nunchuck to hit with your off or weaker hand, while you use the Wii remote to punch and jab with your primary hand. Hardcore gamers may even want to use two Nunchuck controllers to gain a competitive edge.

Rather use the Nunchuck in your right hand? No problem. Because the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers are only relatively dependent on each other, players are free to hold them in whichever hand is most comfortable. The ambidextrous nature of the Wii controllers grants accessibility seldom seen in previous game controllers.
Also, the Nunchuck controller doesn't need its own power - it plugs into the Wii Remote controller when it's in use. So there's no worry about charging up or expensive batteries.
Adding a Nunchuck to your Nintendo Wii system will definitely help you open the doors to the next level of gaming. Just be careful you don't accidentally smack your wife or punch your dog while using your Wii controllers like these guys.

A Pain in the Wii
You will probably either sympathize or laugh at this latest story coming from the console gaming community. According to last Saturday's Wall Street Journal (subscription required), gamers are finding that the new Nintendo Wii can be a real pain in the neck... back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, etc.In case you are unfamiliar with the Nintendo Wii, the controller it comes with is a wireless, motion-sensitive wand-like device. Gamers wave the controller around in the air and depending on the type of game you are playing, the controller can be anything from a sword, gun, tennis racket, or even a steering wheel. However, since the console debuted in mid-November, Nintendo Wii owners are complaining of aching backs, sore shoulders, and even something now called "Wii elbow."
Here are a couple WSJ quotes from Nintendo Wii owners:
Blaine Stuart of Rochester, New York, mistakenly whacked his fiancee, Shelly Haefele, while playing tennis and also accidentally hit his dog while bowling despite the message Nintendo flashes up on the screen before each game which says: "Make sure there are no people or objects around you that you might bump into while playing."
Ryan Mercer, a customs broker in Indianapolis, lifts weights several times a week. But that hasn't helped much with the Wii. After playing the boxing game for an hour and a half, his arms, shoulders and torso were aching. "I was soaking wet with sweat, head to toe -- I had to go take a shower," he says. And the next morning? "I had trouble putting my shirt on," says the 21-year-old avid gamer.
So what do the doctors think about all this? Lana Kang, an orthopedic hand surgeon, had this piece of advice, "It's just like athletic play.... Stretch out and be sure to take care of any injuries afterwards."With the rate of obese children skyrocketing worldwide, you'd think people would be congratulating Nintendo for combining gaming and exercise, not complaining. Oh well. Grab another Big Mac and wait for the next generation of gaming consoles to come out. Maybe they'll feature 'mind control ' so you don't even have to lift a finger to play.

Cell Phone Jammers
We've all wanted to strangle them before. There's nothing worse than some jerk blabbing away on their phone while you're trying to enjoy a movie, meal at a restaurant, or a nice quiet nap on the bus/train ride to work. You can try to send the offending mobile blabbermouth a few evil looks or the old "courtesy cough" but those passive aggressive gestures rarely work.
If you really want to silence a dopey chatter box, then you'll need to acquire a cell phone jammer.

Remix NIN Single in GarageBand
Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails has posted the band's new single, "The Hand That Feeds," as a free download for Apple's GarageBand application. The song, which weighs in at a hefty 70MB, features multiple tracks that you can easily tweak. "For quite some time I've been interested in the idea of allowing you the ability to tinker around with my tracks -- to create remixes, experiment, embellish or destroy what's there," Reznor says.
"After spending some quality time sitting in hotel rooms on a press tour, it dawned on me that the technology now exists and is already in the hands of some of you. I got to work experimenting and came up with something I think you'll enjoy."
Fans are encouraged to build their own songs out of the NIN track's constituent parts, or just mess around to their heart's content.

JBL Encounter Speaker Review

Great design is one of the things that unites us as Apple and iPod cultists. There's something admirable about slick, straightforward, and sexy design. Case in point, the iPod, where Apple broke the mold and changed history. Conversely, when it comes to the cold uninteresting world of external speakers, JBL seems to be on the same path.In a world of boring shelf speakers that are as fascinating as the wires that connect them, the JBL Encounter draws people towards it with its innovative tongue-in-cheek design and then lavishes them with deep warm sound. JBL proves once again that they know how to box up a brilliant set of speakers that appear as though they were intended to be fine decor, while at the same time hold nothing back when it comes to pure crisp sound. Where most speakers seem to be designed to be hidden, the Encounter defies you to ignore them. Space Monkeys, prepare for blast off.

iDockCover Review
Throw out all those cheap executive office stress toys on your desk and prepare to class up your workspace with a touch of woodcraft.A company called Westshore Craftworks has taken some of the techniques used in classic guitar woodworking and refurnished it for the iPod with a product they call the iDockCover. This unique accessory is essentially a decorative wooden top for the standard iPod Dock.
The iDockCover has no electronic parts or wires. The sole purpose of the iDockCover is to make the standard white plastic iPod Dock less boring and give your desk a little more panache.

David Hasselhoff's "The Magic Collection" CD Review

David Hasselhoff is musical magic personified....
"David Hasselhoff is musical magic personified. This album just proves that he can do much more than just act. It's hard to believe that so many people in America have overlooked Hasselhoff's musical talents. Probably the most exciting track on this album is the Night Rocker [Extended Blaster-Mix]. The first time I heard this song I fell in love with it. I probably played it 20 times over and over again. I just close my eyes and dream of being behind the wheels of KITT from the TV show Knight Rider. I can smell burning rubber with the wind blowing in my 80's feathered chest hair while gently touching the turbo boost. Hasselhoff really knows how to capture the emotions of love and excitement in song. I'm still excited!" [Amazon.com]

iBod - iPod Sex Toy

"Many of the vibrators that are on the market today are intimidating for an unseasoned user." says Suki, OhMiBod’s creator.
"This is why when it came to designing OhMiBod the direction was to make it extremely approachable by keeping the design elegant and making it intuitive to use. I want OhMibod to be the first socially acceptable vibrator."
