We're about to head over to the Perez Hilton CMJ party. The pre-party at Citrine is a private sales party (wild right!), so the real party won't really start until we head over to the Highline Ballroom at 11pm.

Last year, we walked away from Perez's NYC Christmas party with a pink autographed "Britney thong." I wonder what souvenirs we'll pick up at his CMJ bash. Look for some live party pictures on Twitter via Ping.fm & TwitPic [twitter.com/methodshop].


Update: The party was a blast. It was nice to see Mario again and spend some time with the BlogAds.com crew (Henry, Nicole, Sophie and Will). The music was amazing! Lady Gaga, Semi Precious Weapons, Yo Majesty, and Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings were all fantastic. All around it was a first class party. Open bar. Giant drag queens. Fantastic music. There were even limos on hand to take us from Citrine to Highline Ballroom.

The results are in. Yesterday Blogged.com reviewed MethodShop and gave us an 8.1 out of 10. Amy from Blogged.com had this to say in an email she sent us:

"Our editors recently reviewed your blog and have given it an 8.1 score out of (10) in the Technology / Computers category of Blogged.com. This is quite an achievement!" [Amy; Blogged.com]

Why didn't we get a perfect 10? MethodShop.com isn't exactly breaking new ground or changing the world with our gadget tutorials and reviews. But we do have some great stuff like our piece on the iPod DJ Revolution or our compilation of Rejected iPod Engravings. The problem is, after 10 years of articles, there's definitely a lot of crap buried within these pages.

Perhaps Amy and the Blogged.com judges were less than wooed by such subpar literary crap as...

• Lady and the Tramp: Spaghetti Dinner Movie Review - Yawn. I could barely read this article myself without passing out after the writer submitted it for editorial review. If you even have trouble sleeping, bookmark this page and pull it up in case of an emergency.
  
  
• Freddy Got Fingered: In-Depth - Did this Tom Green movie really need an in-depth review after it bombed in theaters? Uh, no. Is it a highly trafficked page on MethodShop? Nope. Not a single page view in months. If you want to give us a quick thrill, click on the link above so I can see the page register in our stats for the first time in years.
  
  
• Star Trek 25th Anniversary Game Review - This game came out in 1993 for Macintosh System 7. The first major web browser, NCSA Mosaic, didn't get released until September 1993. As you can imagine, not many people still own this game let alone visit this page looking for chet codes and hints. I'm probably 1 out of 11 people on the entire planet who have even heard this game.
  

Will Blogged.com ever give MethodShop.com a perfect 10? Maybe. But we're gonna have to send Amy some flowers or something first.

Thanks Amy! I wonder if she's a real person or just like a database spider that some programmer named "Amy." My friend Greg at GetUSB.info got the exact same email but his blog got a 8.5. Stupid 8.1. - I guess we have a little room for improvement.

At 3pm EST yesterday, Fox News took a brief break from their wall-wall US Presidential Super Tuesday coverage and mentioned the MethodShop.com review of the Badonkadonk Land Cruiser. In case you aren't already familiar with "The Donk," it's a custom made mini-tank that looks like Jabba's Sail Barge from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

People were obviously intrigued by The Donk and wanted to read more about it. An hour later, the surge in traffic from Fox News killed our server. It was higher than when our Rejected iPod Engravings article made the Digg homepage.
